"deteriorating product" doesn't really hit the mark. Even as the scene more routine for me, they kept coming in. I'm grateful for the individual band members, flawed normally, there was something else happening as Grateful Dead. I'm loyal to THAT, what it is -- beyond description as they say.

I don't think I was getting soaked when I bought a few rereleases to get the extras. Then or now, I didn't mind paying the teller off in gold knowing he cannot be bought or sold, in hopes the music played the band. That's not to say you couldn't trip like Jagger at a Stones concert, just that you could get rolled as easily.

Gate crashing or ruining the streaming golden egg won't bring the feeling back, nor will grudges when the surviving members are plenty generous.

Thanks for the discussion, it's served to clarify some things I left hanging. I'm still not sure why they toured so much when it was clear Jerry was falling apart.
